The life membership of the society is open to all trained and qualified pain physicians in India and abroad (and their mentors) who had passed at least one year structured course in pain medicine from a university, an institution affiliated to university, AIIMS or other post graduate institutions. The course should be supported with entry and exit examinations, a teaching curriculum and hands on training.
